Draft Ft. Lawton Redevelopment Plan Public Meeting

This public meeting is a rescheduling of the meeting on February 11, cancelled due to inclement weather. The public comment period is extended to March 6 to accommodate the reschedule of the meeting. See below for details.
The meeting will include an open house with opportunity to ask City staff and community partners questions and opportunity for written and spoken comment.
Doors will open at 5:15 PM and the open house will begin at 5:30 PM. Public comments will be limited to 2 minutes per person.
Background on Fort Lawton Redevelopment Plan
The Office of Housing is presently preparing a Fort Lawton Redevelopment Plan to submit to City Council in the first quarter of 2019 for review and adoption. The Fort Lawton Redevelopment Plan will update the 2008 plan, consistent with the City’s vision and recent environmental review completed in the Ft. Lawton Army Reserve Center Redevelopment Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS).
The draft Redevelopment Plan is available on the Office of Housing website.
Public Comments
We welcome public comment on the draft Fort Lawton Redevelopment Plan: via email, by mail or in person at the upcoming public meeting.
All comments by email must be received by close of business on March 6, 2019 and all comments by mail must be postmarked by March 6, 2019. Please note that public comments submitted via email or by mail are weighted equally to public comments made in person or in writing at the public meeting.

Community Preference Policy Discussion

This discussion is a rescheduling of the meeting on February 13, cancelled due to inclement weather. Please RSVP again for this new meeting date, even if you responded for the February 13 meeting, so we can get an accurate count of attendees for food planning purposes.
Meeting Background:
This Community Preference Policy Discussion will build on dialogue over the past year about how preferences could help achieve anti-displacement and racial equity goals. Topics will include building on robust affirmative marketing, approaches to community preferences in OH-funded rental and ownership housing and input on proposed OH funding policies and guidelines.
