The Office of Housing is pleased to announce the 2018 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the production and preservation of affordable rental housing in Seattle. In addition, the Office of Housing is announcing the availability of Operations and Maintenance subsidies and Levy Project-Based Vouchers for previously funded 2016 Levy projects.
We anticipate allocating approximately $40 million dollars through a combination of sources including the 2016 voter approved Housing Levy, incentive zoning affordable housing contributions, Mandatory Housing Affordability funds and Federal HOME and CDBG funds.
In 2018, the Office of Housing and Mayor Durkan are strongly emphasizing speed of delivery and cost-effectiveness. We are inviting proposals that offer a unique edge in these two areas. Seattle’s present housing affordability crisis creates an unparalleled sense of urgency and places a premium on the fastest possible production of as many affordable housing units as possible.
Final proposals are due by September 12 at 12:00 PM.
